[The scene that greets you when you look in your screen is surprisingly colorful. There are folded origami cranes grouped in bright rainbows on the ground and table, boxes of beads and spools of thread scattered everywhere, along with other arts-and-crafts type of supplies, including glue and glitter. Taiwan is biting her lip in concentration as she threads a needle and selects another crane from the pile directly in front of her. Behind her, draped over the back of a chair, are a few long already-completed strings of cranes, separated in between by beads.]

[Japan's situated rather close by, having just added to that collection of strings of cranes. Though, he seems to be nitpicking it, pulling it closer carefully to squint at one of the cranes.] It truly is amazing that they have stayed in such a condition, but even so... [There were errors.]

That's because you did such a good job taking care of them! [Taiwan ties off a knot and smiles happily up at him.] And it's better if they don't all look exactly right, it reminds you how hard you worked on them!

[There's a fond sort of look in Japan's eyes as he slowly lets the string fall back over the chair.] Ah, that is true. [And after that old man moment, he's looking back to the table, seeing where he can help next.]

You know, you still haven't told me where we're supposed to put it when we're finished... [Pauses in the midst of biting short a piece of thread as she considers the conundrum] It has to be in a place where it won't get ruined, and people will be able to see it...

Ah... [He looks a little troubled by this thought, frowning and trying to focus.] The school, perhaps...? Though people do not go there quite so often. I wonder if the lobby would do...

Is it safe there? But.. [Just...thinking about this very seriously while she strings up more beads] Then they can make a special trip! And we should tell everyone about it too, right? Not everyone knows about the story...

Yes, that would be for the best. [He nods to himself at this.] Surely this will help brighten things.

I wonder when we can do it- [Suddenly looks up and at her communicator] Ah!? Did you know this was on the entire time-?

So you're saying I should save my big serious wishes for something stronger and use this one for something in the middle ground?

T-this one is still pretty strong though! Because when you're making it you have to put all your good wishes in too, and I know Japan and I worked really hard at that... [Other her did, anyway...]

Now you've lost me. So in order to put my wishes into it, I have to make a crane?

...I can make a little hat. [ and he demonstrates his amazing origami skills on a convenient gum wrapper. ] Does that count?

Oh wow! That's really good!

Um...the original wishes were for everyone else's wishes to come true... so you don't have to make your own but...it couldn't hurt...

You can give one of the cranes my little hat! That way I'll know which wish is mine! [ He waves his terrible creation so proudly. HE IS SO PROUD. ]

Um well...if you want we could...do that...

Groovy! Ya know, this was a great idea! Just in time to get everyone in the holiday spirit!

Oh! You're right! That is really good timing! [sobs, now they have a deadline...]

And what better present than a wish? It's like giving someone cash: their present is whatever their heart desires.

Ah...right! Exactly... [except not really god, 美國, you are so not suave right now]

So uh, other than the wish things, you been alright?

I-i've been doing pretty well! Though apparently you fell...yesterday?

I didn't fall, I was pushed. Rose is just trying to save face! Typical England, being a jerk when I didn't do anything but save her from desperate circumstances.

...She pushed you! I thought it sounded suspicious-! [You did not make the connection, Taiwan, you are the slowest of the slow-]

You thought right! There I was, just doing my duty as a hero, and she has to get all huffy because I pointed it out to her. [ aka bragged endlessly ]

Oh. Yeah. She's the girl England. You haven't met any of the opposites yet?

Well...everyone told me that there was another Japan here, but I never met hi...her...

Nothing! I was only saving her! And... telling her how lucky she was to be saved by me. Stuff like that. Nothing bad, of course.

Yeah, she was cute! Like the boy Japan, but more like you, so better. Anyway, there's a lot of 'em running around. So far haven't met the other me, but I know there's girl versions of England and France and South Italy.

[She got the tiniest inkling of why he might've been pushed into a ditch for that]

Wow... I wonder if there's a boy version of me then...

Huh. Haven't thought about that. I figured everyone would be girls, but if they're the inverse of us, maybe the other Taiwan is a boy.

T-that would probably make more sense, right?

I guess, but it's still bizarre!

More bizarre than being kidnapped and fighting monsters?

I guess if there are so many different universes as there are people here... Do you think there's any other ones with people like us?
